It's been about a week now since we arrived home from a wonderful weekend in Wotton-under-Egde at the Euromeeting 2010. And first of all; thanks to all Wotton-tablers and ex-tablers for sharing their homes with us and for their great hospitality. It was a great weekend that non of the 6 tablers and 3 ladies from Lyngdal will ever forget. Thanks!
Thursday, departure from one of the churches(!) in Lyngdal at 06:30, really early! But of course, no complaints, we where "on the road"! Flying from Haugesund to Stansted, and then 3 hour drive to arrive to Wotton-under-Edge. Well, because of some traffic jams, the trip took about 6 hours! :) We finally arrived at Wotton, and off we went to different home parties, yeah, we where there!
Friday, up early to Conygres for playing games and chatting with new and old friends. Later on, down to Martins pub, the Swan, for more chatting and fun! And then, at the evening, finally the moment we've all been waiting for: theme night. The theme night where held at barn, Nind, and the tablers from Lyngdal decided to dress up like cowboys, smoking guns and bad breaths! We are pretty sure there where some bribes of the jury, how is it possible that we ended up at third place..? Ok, Ninove (as always), well prepared, and sex sells! :) Was there some rumors that the belgiums had been disqualified because of too much sex in their presentation? And the second place also got disqualified for having to little sex? Then we actually won! :) Think so... Anyway, a great night!
Saturday: Business meeting at the local cinema. All clubs presentated their work and status. The gala dinner at the e
vening was held at the Edge Golf Club at Cotswold, an excellent evening. Next years Euromeeting in Lyngdal was presented with a video, and the theme for next year will be "Back to the 80's". Watch the video here! Wotton had also hired a great band, and I think the band was happy with it's audience!
Sunday: again, up early, headed for Stansted, Haugesund, and finally Lyngdal. And we're really looking forward to seeing you all in Lyngdal, the 2nd of June 2011!
